Description
Gooseberries have a tart grape flavour and the soil around their bush needs to remain most during its growing season. In order to harvest a good amount of fruit, it needs to be watered regularly but does not tolerate waterlogged sites. This fruit can tolerate periods of drought, but won’t produce any fruit during drought spells. Suitable for indoor or container planting and can be used as a hedge or border plant.

Did you know? Gooseberries are found in tidy paper-like wappers called husks which are very similar to Chinese Lanterns. Many people still called it husks and when the berry is left in its husk after harvest it has a shelf life of 30 days at room temperature. Gooseberries are rich in antioxidants.
