Description

Aucuba japonica is a reliable plant that is loved by many.  It is able to endure cold winters as well as hot summers.  It is resistant to pollution and is often grown into a screening or hedge plant.

Even though it is drought-resistant, regular watering with an added top layer of mulch around roots will help it grow into an appealing-looking plant.  Often used for indoor or container planting.

Its berries, leaves and stems may be toxic to cats, dogs, people and horses.

  • Tolerates temperatures as low as -20°c
  • Estimated height: 4m
