Rosemary is an upright growing shrub with scented evergreen fine leaves.  Its leaves are used as a herb in many dishes, perfumes and oils.  Rosemary should not be planted anywhere near basil.

It is often cultivated into an ornamental shrub or container plant as it has lovely white, pink, purple or deep blue flowers.  Rosemary is known for blossoming outside its flowering season.
