Description

Lemongrass grows best in full sun conditions and is well suited for indoor or container planting.  It’s easy to care for and it loves rich, sandy, loamy soil.  Its woody, coarse stalks have a lemon scent.

Lemongrass is fast-growing and can be used as ornamental grass and as a tasty herb.  It has a mixture of citrus, lemon and a bit of mint flavour and is often used in teas and dipping sauces.

Lemongrass may contain cyanogenic glycosides which can be toxic to cats, dogs and horses.
