Description

A remarkable ornamental tree with thick thorny branches that hang from its rounded crown.  It will make a beautiful focal point in your medium to large size garden or beside street avenues.

Great to use as a shade tree and has a good wind tolerance. The Zulu nation memorialized Erythrina lysistemon as a royal tree and was used to plant on the graves of chiefs.

Seeds can be poisonous if consumed.
